h8: Injector Balance Test
| Steps | _Connect tachometer to engine. Run engine at idle
_Disconnect and reconnect the injectors one at a time. Note RPM drop for each injector |
| Result | Does each injector produce at least a 100 RPM momentary drop? |
| Direction | YES
Fuel delivery OK. Problem is in an area common to all cylinders i.e. air/vacuum leak, fuel contamination, EGR etc. NO GO to Section 4 for injector testing and cleaning instructions. After any servicing, rerun Quick Test |
