dp3: Check Continuity of Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Harness
| Steps | _Key Off, wait 10 seconds
_Disconnect processor 60 pin connector. Inspect for damaged pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary. _Install breakout box _Processor and VSS disconnected _DVOM on 200 ohm scale _Measure resistance between Test Pin 3 at the breakout box and the VSS vehicle harness connector, as shown. _Measure resistance between Test Pin 6 at the breakout box and the VSS vehicle harness connector, as shown. |
| Result | Are both resistances less than 5 ohms? |
| Direction | YES
GO to Continue NO Service open circuit(s). Repeat Test Step DP1. Remove breakout box. Reconnect processor and VSS |
