Steps | _Key Off, wait 10 seconds
_Harness disconnected from ECT sensor _Disconnect processor 60 pin connector. Inspect for damaged pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc. Service as necessary. _Install breakout box, leave processor disconnected _DVOM on 200,000 ohm scale _Measure resistance between Test Pin 7 and Test Pins 40, 46 and 60 at the breakout box. |
Result | Are all resistances greater than 10,000 ohms? |
Direction | YES
Replace processor. Remove breakout box. Reconnect processor and ECT harness. Rerun Quick Test NO Service short circuit. Remove breakout box. Reconnect processor and ECT sensor. Rerun Quick Test |
